Cropsharers

Dragon Orchard Cropsharers have the opportunity to:

  • Become familiar with the yearly cycle of fruit production
  • Spend time in a lovely part of rural England
  • Sustain a tradition of orcharding that is under threat
  • Enjoy a fabulous feast of fruit throughout the autumn and winter

Dragon Orchard Cropsharers are invited to visit the orchard for an Open Weekend each season – Winter, Spring, Summer and Autumn. The weekend includes a meal both days, orchard walks and talks, visits to other nearby producers and demonstrations from local craft workers. There is often a special seasonal celebration such as wassailing in winter, blossomtime in the spring and harvest supper in the autumn. The Cropsharers are kept informed with happenings at the orchard and upcoming events through a quarterly newsletter and through the website.

In the autumn when the harvest is gathered in, Cropsharers take home their share of the crop comprising:

Eating Apples – 2 x 10Kg box of the different varieties grown
Cooking Apples – 2 x 10Kg box and some excellent recipes for using them
Once Upon a Tree Apple Juice – 1 dozen bottles
Dragon Orchard Table Cider & Perry – 1 dozen bottles
Pears and Homemade Chutney, Jams and Jellies

The annual subscription for a Dragon Orchard Cropshare is £325 (+VAT).

Information and application form will be online soon...
